A baby shower has a guest list unlike any other party: the expectant mother, her closest friends, both mothers, and at least one grandmother who is not going to enjoy a flight of stairs. The Chestnut Hall is on the second floor, and it has an elevator, full ADA accessibility, and separate women's and men's restrooms — which is a longer way of saying nobody has to think about logistics.
The room itself does most of the decorating. Walls of windows, crystal chandeliers, and a neutral palette mean a balloon arch and a few centerpieces are genuinely enough — as the photographs below show. Tables, gold Chiavari chairs, and setup and breakdown are all included.
Bring the caterer, the brunch spread, or the dessert vendor you want; the full prep kitchen and commercial ice machine support them, and there are no in-house contracts to work around.
