Showers, brunches, luncheons, and morning gatherings in a second-floor space built around natural light — above historic downtown McKinney.
Most event spaces are designed for evenings — dark finishes, low ceilings, lighting that only works after sunset. The Chestnut Hall was built the other way around. It sits on the second floor with walls of windows over historic downtown McKinney, so from mid-morning onward the room fills with daylight and the crystal chandeliers just add sparkle to it.
That makes it a genuinely good daytime venue: bridal showers and baby showers, yes, but also birthday brunches, retirement luncheons, club meetings, mother's day gatherings, and the morning half of a wedding weekend. Rounds for a seated meal, high-tops for mingling, or a long banquet table down the centre — the 3,000-square-foot floor takes any of it.
Gold Chiavari chairs, tables, and full setup and breakdown are included. The built-in bar handles mimosas, the full prep kitchen handles your caterer, and the private balcony gives guests somewhere to step out to.
A second-floor corner position with windows on two sides — the natural light that daytime photography depends on, at the hour you actually need it.
Daytime events rarely need eight hours. A five-hour rental starts at $3,000 and covers styling, the event, and cleanup without paying for the evening.
Elevator and stair access, full ADA compliance, cushioned Chiavari chairs, and two nearby parking garages — easy for guests of any age.
Bridal showers, baby showers, brunches, birthday luncheons, retirement parties, club and organisation meetings, and morning gatherings during a wedding weekend. The room is designed around natural light, which makes it unusually good before sunset.
Five hours suits most daytime events — enough for styling, the gathering itself, and cleanup. Five-hour rentals are $3,000 Monday–Thursday and $3,500 on Friday and Sunday. Saturdays are booked as full eight-hour rentals.
Yes. The Chestnut Hall has a fully open vendor policy with no in-house catering requirement. A full prep kitchen, built-in bar, and large commercial ice machine support whichever caterer and bartender you hire.
Up to 100 seated for a meal and 120 standing. The floor plan flexes down gracefully too — a 25-guest shower fills the room warmly rather than rattling around in it.
